Grand Junction

Outdoor Activities

No trip to Grand Junction, or anywhere in Colorado, is complete without partaking in a few outdoor adventures. Luckily for guests at this hotel, the best of the outdoors is in their backyard (literally). Kick off your vacation by sipping a local wine in the lush, landscaped courtyard. It’s the ultimate place to relax and plan tomorrow’s agenda. You’re just two miles from Cross Orchards Historic Farm and six miles from Colorado wineries, which is a perfect match. Drive just 10 miles and you’ll find yourself at the Colorado National Monument and the Devil’s Canyon Science and Learning Center, where dinosaurs are the scene stealers.

Looking for something that provides hiking trails galore? Just 30 miles away is the Vega Reservoir and State Park. Pack a picnic lunch, or have one of the nearby diners do it for you. A brief walk of just two miles will take you to River Front Trail Park, where you can jog, bike or even rollerblade on 12 miles of riverside scenery. For the sports-minded guests, 10 miles away you’ll find Canyon View Park where softball, baseball, soccer and a playground are on deck. Golfers rejoice at Lincoln Park, a nine-hole golf course complete with waterslide and swimming pools.

Finally, Grand Mesa National Forest and Scenic Byway can be found 20 miles from our property. It’s home to the Powderhorn Ski Resort, but also a stunning place to visit year-round. No matter what type of outdoor activities strike your fancy, you can be sure to find it less than 30 miles from our property, and it often is a walkable distance away.

  • Less than two miles from many wineries, orchards and vineyards
  • National forests and monuments are minutes away
  • Sports options galore are nearby, including golf, baseball, swimming, biking and more
